I've been diagnosed with a combined immunodeficiency syndrome, mainly, not making much IgG. My doctor is looking for connections with lyme, and I found some old posts here about people with immunodefiencies, and some getting IVIG. The last was in 2007.
Is this a current issue for anyone? Anyone else with low immunoglobulins?

I can't give you any scientific evidence other than to say that I too was diagnosed with low IgG, specifically subclass 4 - almost nothing there. The immunodeficiency was discovered a couple months prior to my Lyme diagnosis, but it led my doc to hunt down what was using up all the gammaglobulins.
I can say that he gave me IgG shots which actually yielded pain so he stopped for the time since so much was undetermined regarding a diagnosis. I now realize I was experiencing herx sensations - interesting!
Another link in diagnosing lyme, even though I had symptoms for 4+ years when doing the tests, my IgM test was positive though my IgG test was negative with significant markers. We believe the low IgG production is directly linked to a negative IgG result on my Igenex test.
Hope you find some IgG therapy. I am following up now on retesting and possibly continuing the shots in hopes that it will aid in my recovery.
