Never tested for this before, but today I had a positive test for RMSF.

Anyone have problems getting rid of this-- or maybe the doxy I took a while back killed it.

Now + for Lyme, babs, bart and RMSF--- All from one tick bite. Never had a bite before and did not live in an endemic area.

Thanks

--------------------
Positive 10 bands WB IGG & IGM
+ Babesia + Bartonolla and NOW RMSF 3/5/09 all at Quest

And still positive ELISA and WB two years after IV treatment

best wishes; hope you get many posts to read/educate yourself from.

if you go to melanie reber's lymememorial.com site ... she might have listed RMSF there; been long time since i was there ... just another possibility for you.

LOL, he sure did get the SuperTick!!!

Saw LLD today, she put him on Doryx for it. He is only the second patient she has seen with RMSF....and his tick bite/infection was over ten years ago!!!

He also tested positive for Chlamydia Pneumonia, which she said the Doryx will cover as well. It's all so confusing, he was just ON Doryx for a month and yet these things just showed up....

His PICC is in and he is tolerating the IV Rocephin well. He also has low testosterone, so he has to take Clomid for that!

The LLD was amazed at his Quest test the PCP did routinely; positive Elisa and 8 bands. IGG positive this time only, not IGM. He has never flunked a Western Blot test yet. His first one ten years ago, 10 bands, two years ago, 9 bands.

She said his is the first positive she's ever seen come from Quest.

I tested negative for Erhlichia, but positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

My physician prescribed minocycline for the Lyme as well as the RMSF as well as a long list of other things. I had been on Tetracycline for about 5 years, so it's hard to know what's going on. She seems to believe it can be a chronic infection, implying "We'll have you on the Minocycline just incase."

YOU?

Where the heck did you get that?

I thought it was just the kids?

What's going on?

And are you being treated?

I hope so!

I also tested positive for Erlichiosis a few months back. Doesn't make sense, becuase I was bitten 4 1/2 years ago and have certainly had a few rounds of Doxy.....just seems there are still so many unknowns.
