I am watching Jamescase20's posts on this supplement. I started this on a relatively low dose four days ago (500 mg 2 x daily). There's also some of this in my new garlic supplement (Kyolic Immune System formula). I believe 90 mg per 2 capsules. By the way, my OLE is NSI brand (Vitacost label)18% concentration.
This can't be my imagination, but I take it and it's causing more reaction for me than Zithromax, Ceftin, Biaxin, etc. It's literally raising my body temp 2+ degrees. I feel like I"m burning up. I usually run low to mid 96 degree temps. I'm at 98.5+ and feel like I'm on fire.
What on earth is happening? Herx? Allergic reaction? Is this really this powerful or possible? NOTHING raised my temps before. I spend many days shivering cold. Does it treat something perhaps the other Abx I listed does not? Viruses perhaps?

Garlic is a all round helper with various infections.
You can read more about it - and allicin - at PubMed. It does increase circulation and for many, will make them feel warmer.
Olive Leaf Extract is a cool food and will not raise body temp. Perhaps its the new supplement and a different source of the garlic that is suddenly making you warmer from increased circulation.

I took 3 drops of Olive Leaf Extract, then ended up in the ER. I do believe that it generated a reaction that was far more intense than the biaxin I had previously taken. I think it's because it hits bacteria, viruses, AND fungus, whereas antibiotics only hit bacteria. This causes a massive die off.

Olive leaf extract is a very powerful anti bacterial
anti viral and anti fungal agent. You may well be
herxing. I took tons of Dr. Zhang's Allicin and
never felt die off like I did with OLE.

Below is a link to a list of 137 infectious diseases for which olive leaf extract acts as an antimicrobial agent -- per the book Olive Leaf Extract by Dr Morton Walker
Note -- I am in no way endorsing the product this links to -- just the info
Obviously there is no suggested dose for each infection and most likely not all of these pathogens have been scientifically proven to respond to olive leaf -- nevertheless it is a really impressive list.

What kind of olive leaf is everyone taking? And what is the percentage of Oleuropein?
I'm especially interested in the liquid. Last year, I was taking a 15% powdered extract from Natural Factors and having very promising results for 3 days and then - it just fizzled out.
Been looking for a higher quality one ever since.

My alternative doc has always advised Park East as the best one.

I tried to take olive leaf for the past several years and every time I took one pill I would crash to the max and getting off the bed to get into the bathroom was way too much effort.
I took antibiotics for 4 years and tried the olive leaf several times and it always happened. It happened before I started the antibiotics too.
I stopped antibiotics last August and tried olive leaf and had no crash and took it for several months. I boosted my dosed up to 3 3x a day and still had no crash but after a few months I didnt notice any better health either.
I guess that whatever the olive leaf was killing the long term antibiotic killed off but Im still sick.

As with most herbs, OLE is often best in a formula - and rotated.
