I have been in treatment a long time and now since being on IV Doxy the last 4 months, the bart rash is now spread to new areas.

During my tx I have gotten substantially worse.

Does anyone have an opinion whether this rash appearing is good or not so good?

Could it be a new infection?

I don't know, but I am having the same issue and will see my LLMD today and plan on asking him. My bart symptoms in general are reeling right now even while on the Rifampin...don't know what the issue is. Keep you posted.

Mine look like really dark stretch marks all over my stomach, breast areas and even pubic areas....sorry if that is too much info!

I alway thought they were just stretch marks that were super dark until learning about the bart marks. I noticed they became more prevalent, within a matter of days, when I started Rifampin. Then, I knew they were bart marks.

well is trying to hide deeper in tissues..as you are treating...continue treatment until this marks will be gone completly ....otherwise ..the marks while you are in treatment shows is still there....they fade away when you stop treatment as they regroup in the blood...liver
