Hi Everyone,

I live in PA but my Aunt, who lived in PA until recently, then moved to MO, is very ill.

All of her symptoms have been individually diagnosed and not a single Dr has seen the big picture, as usual.

I really think she has lyme and coinfections. I have been in contact with her, her daughter here in PA, and her son in MO. I am urging them to get her to Dr C in MO ASAP.

Recently, along with her terrible muscle and joint pain, she is having very blurred vision in one eye and alot of pain behind her eye.

I think she is experiencing optic neuritis and could suffer blindness if not treated soon.

Unfortunately, some uneducated Dr has her on prednisone.

Does anyone know how long of a wait Dr C generally has for new patients?

Anyone know what he charges? Does he take Medicare? Any info would be helpful, you can pm me.

Thanks!

Right now it is a four month wait. I called last month to cancel my appointment to take a break from abx. and try some natural therapies, and they warned me that if at any point I wanted to reschedule the next available appointment, that day, was the end of June.

You might ask to be put on their list to call in the event of cancellations.

BTW, my first office visit was $460. If she is going to do the WB that was $240. Sorry, forgot to include that.

Do try to get on the cancellation list. I was called three different times asking if I wanted to take a last minute cancellation. We live so far away I could not. But there seems to be an opportunity for that.

MAKE A COPY OF IT WHEN YOU ARE DONE! don't take any chances someone losing it.

also for western blot igm/igg; igenex charges $200; what is the extra $40 going for?? strange!

igenex will mail YOU the w.b. blood kit; IGENEX pays for return fedex box!!

Just want to echo others that the wait is around three months but, my friend who is very ill called & asked to be given a cancellation if possible, since she was so sick.

They said there were at least 6 ahead of her but they called her a few days later and she gets to go Tues. So, she only ended up waiting about 2 weeks!!!

Thanks dbourne, bettyg and sugarfreak!

I talked to my Aunt in MO today and I think I just about have her convinced that she really needs to make an appt with Dr C and also ask to be put on the cancellation list.

If she lives within a few hours drive [or less], she could get in very quickly. He has so many who travel from out of state that if one of them cancels, it's the nearby folks who benefit from that cancellation!

She will be in GREAT hands!! Tell her to contact me if she needs any questions answered.

NO Medicare.

Thanks nenet and lymetoo!!!!!

She is quite sick...Dr is trying to diagnose her with polymyalgia rheumatica and has her on prednisone!!!! AGGGHHHHH!!!

When the dose is reduced her muscle pain is so bad that she can't even dress herself.

She is having blurred vision and pain behind her eye too.

She is worried about getting to Dr C's office, it's probably 2-2 1/2 hrs from her. She's in Raymore.

She also had symptoms of "temporal arteritis" and had a negative biopsy.

I told her I have found studies online linking everyone of those diagnoses with the borrelia bacteria.

I think that's just some of her symptoms plus fatigue, etc, she's not a great historian when I try to ask her questions.

I appreciate your input and help.

Hi Lymetoo,

I did tell her that today. I also told her that is she waits, her symptoms may be too advanced for her to get well.

Thanks so much for your help and concern!

Hi - you could tell her my eye symptoms were immediately relieved by drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory anti-oxidant juice.

I do the Ultra brand, with 70 minerals added, and there are lots of brands out there. If she tries it, go slowly and drink a lot of water.
