I think my doc is going to switch me to IV Doxy when I see him in a couple weeks. I am currently on Rocephin for the second time and it hasn't done a thing for me.
I hope the Doxy works for you again. I was on oral Doxy and it made me have even more fatigue then I do now...so I am a little hesitant to try it.

I was allergic to Rocephin.... In my opinion Doxy is the best drug out there for Lyme.
It also helps kill off coinfections which some of the other ABX don't.
The only complaint I have about Doxy is it really makes my face and head hot.
You can't be in the sun/heat so it kinda stinks especially with the nice weather coming.
Good Luck!

i have read and it has been discussed here that you should not take mepron with doxy. reduces mepron effectiveness by 40 %. my llmd agrees with that.

Just wondering about an update. How goes the IV Doxy?

You do not get any venous irritation from the IV doxy? That is a good sign - doxy can really be hard on the veins in some ppl. My son had doxy administered via peripheral IV for about 3 days and he could not move his arm w/o pain for about a month after that.

doxy is usually administered through a central line. It is very caustic and I can't believe that your son was given it through a peripheral IV!

Is your insurance covering all that? I'd have to rob a bank =)

How are you feeling Kreynolds? Looks like you are now tackling the babesia in your protocol, maybe this will give you the progress you have been looking for. Also, in Cure Unknown I believe it is mentioned that the author considered IV doxy the workhorse that got her son better.

I agree. I'd have to find a couple banks to rob too! I hope it's worth it in the end. Best of luck.
