After 15 years with Alzheimer's, my mom crossed over today. She was a dear sweet lady and we will miss all the "moms" that she had become along the way.
Tried to hook up with the brain donation folks, but evidently they are no longer working on the Alzheimer's/Lyme project. Despite efforts, it got to be too late.
Nonetheless, mom has finally been released and can find joy and peace again.
God bless her,

Dear Tori,
My wishes are for your memories of good times, laugher and light to carry you now. And, whenever you wish to call upon those, I hope you will easily have access to the richness of what was real.
Be sure to take really good care of yourself right now.

Heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your Mom. You sound like a wonderful person by saying that you will miss all the Moms she became along the journey.
It takes a very special person to have those insights, compassion, and love. Bless your sweet heart. You were both blessed with a special bond.
May she rest in peace and love. Prayers sent.

tori, [group hug] [kiss]
my heart goes out to you on the triple loss you feel tonight:
the loss of your beloved mom; your alzheimer's mom; and your best friend!!
tori, she now has her MIND BACK; sharp as ever, and that is what helps us over the devastation of such a mind-robbing disease.
sorry they were not doing more alzheimers/lyme autopsy studies.
below is my online poems; and i know that I'M FREE AT LAST will hold special meaning to you; and i believe towards the end is an alzheimer's one as well.
if it's not there and you want it, i'll look for a paper copy to scan and hopefully paste it here for you/others.
i knew i had replied but couldn't find it; ah ha...you posted in medical and support so i copied this here too. best wishes my good friend!
