I've had acupuncture a few years ago and remember the wonderful relaxed, pain free feeling immediately ater.
I think I've read that acupuncture works like an anaesthetic, but really doesn't cure.
I wasn't going for insomnia then, but wonder if it's useful for that in anyone's experience.
Also, is it better to not tell the acupuncturist why you are there? They read your pulse, and I'm wondering if they're influenced by what you tell them ahead of time?

I go once/week a and she treats the sleep points and whatever else is bothering me. She also does gallbladder support, immunity support, spiritual support. I always notice I sleep really good after I see her.

I had my first appointment yesterday. Came home and was relaxed and sleepy for the first time in a long time--about to doze off. Unfortunately the phone rang with a call from my realtor for a showing and I panicked and started cleaning like crazy.
Thanks, it sounds encouraging that it's worked for both of you.
I'm going to be seeing him 3 times a week for 4 weeks, so hope it works.

Marz,
Good plan. Usually, a series of frequent sessions is a great start and then less often can work fine.
Of course you have to tell the acupuncturist why you are there and your symptoms and goals. Although they can tell a great deal from reading your pulses, they are not mind readers.
