As in Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato? Sorry....couldn't resist.
Did you mean BLO instead of BLT? I've never heard of BLT used in relation to Lyme. (of course, I'm relatively knew to all of this)
Coldfeet, we must have been posting at the same time.

this was in the thread on "starting new meds"
"LLMD seems to think BLT is enough for my husbands bartonella, which we're all pretty
convinced he has. I'm also on BLT."
bacon, lettuce and tomato is not my favoriet...but i guess i could take them for awhile if it would make my bart go away...do you think turkey bacon would work?

After some quick research, I learned that BLT is an herbal tincture made from red root and other herbs that is used to treat Bart. Hope this helps.
I was very disappointed to learn that they were not referring to Bacon, Lettuce and tomato in relation to treating Lyme....that would be a treatment option I would definitely try!

That's kind of interesting actually because I felt instinctively I needed lomatium (one of the ingredients in this) and when I first started taking it I would have a very clear bart herx -- the same herx symptoms I had with meds including this bizarre oozing sore on my right ring finger.
Stephen Buhner says not to take lomatium long-term though, but I use it when my other treatments seem to be losing efficacy against bart.

My naturopath and LLMD, I believe, have formulated BLt (Borreliosis Lyme tincture) under the name Clinical Response Formulas. There is also a new tincture for liver protection.
I have been taking the BLt for a couple of months. Nothing miraculous, but I think it is helpful for me. I know they are committed to the abx + herbal approach. Sometimes it is so difficult to tell what is helping. I do muscle testing on myself and BLt shows healing for me.
