Just got a copy of my WB results from Quest labs and the ONLY reactive band I have is IGM 23. My LLMD interperates this as a positive, but the "official" result on the test is negative???
Is it possible maybe I really don't have Lyme? I don't want to do this sucky treatment for no reason! I looked over Dr C's WB explanation and he also states 23 is "significant" but now I am very doubtful of my dx.

You should be glad that you had 23 show up and not have only 41 as the only band to show up. Definitely makes a person doubt their diagnosis big time...
But yes, band 23 is lyme-specific.

Band 23 is species specific to Borrelia burgdorferi.
If your western blot had been from Igenex it is likely that other bands would have shown up also.
That is what happened to me...LabCorp WB showed only band 41...my Ignenex WB results are at the bottom of my post...

So I take it, that it still means I do have Lyme? Could it be any indication of how long I may have been infected?
Disturbed, what do you mean about just 41 showing? Is that worse?
Thanks for the input, I'm in a real bad spot right now, not getting better actually getting severely worse and am very discouraged and then to see this makes me feel EVEN worse because I am doubting my dx.

If you can, get another WB run through Igenex. They are a lab that specializes in tick borne illness. If there are more bands to be seen, they will show up.
