Anyone able to give some insight into why this is? I have a healthy resting heart rate of 55- 60 bpm. I run every evening and have no other heart issues.
Thanks
Neil

Is the rise by 25 right after you stand up or after a minute or more of standing?
There will be a difference. It really does not sound out of range at all. The body goes through a lot to go from sitting to standing and even with it raising 25 points, that is still a very healthy heart rate for standing.

okay thanks Keebler. The rise is instant after standing up. I do feel a little light headed too. I suppose considering all the meds I am on it could be anything.

The rise is normal upon standing. What then does it go to? If you are woozy, it may actually be taking a sharp dive down and that could be various kinds of things like NMH or POTS but that's too complex for my tired brain right now.
If you are on some meds, your stomach shifting from sitting to standing - or your inner ear balance system - can also bring on some woozy sensations when you change position.
