Stonybrook gets a Neutral from me when it comes to Lyme. I would only recommend it if you had no other choice and had to choose a "credible" lab from an IDSA perspective. Their test is only slightly more accurate than the rest.
I would obviously not waste my time and would go with Igenex for the Western Blot if we're talking about Lyme Disease.

Dr. F at Columbia uses Stonybrook Lab. It is a good lab that specializes in tick borne disease.

I was told by my local allergist Stoneybrook is as good as it gets for Lyme. I'll take that with a grain of salt. No personal experience with them to note.

Stony Brook isn't too bad in my experience. I tested IgM positive, but this was at a later point in treatment when I was feeling better relatively (so maybe my antibodies were finally kicking in?)
Might as well try.
Just keep in mind that if you have negative Lyme tests, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't have Lyme. I have tested negative before, but then other times had CDC positives.
One of my Stony Brook IgM's came back with 5 bands positive. My IgG, however, only had band 41, while at Igenex years back it had had a couple more than that.
IMPORTANT: For Stony Brook, I think the doctor needs to request that they show the "other" bands that are not the CDC specific criteria bands that come up positive for that patient (my doctor must have, so it showed them on the test....they were 58 and one other one).
Anyways, like I said, I had 3 out of the 3 required CDC bands for a positive IgM (and 2 additional bands) from Stony Brook.
I didn't have an Igenex in the same month as the Stony Brook, so I can't really compare. I had my Igenex way earlier in treatment, and it did not show a CDC positive. Later on in treatment, the Stony Brook did.
Also pay attention to which bands you get, even if you only get one. Like Cockapoo had band 39, and that is very Lyme-specific.
