I would like to know what are the major/most common symptoms of Babesia.
So far in my case, they are:
-Extreme Fatigue/Hypersomnia -Muscle pain and extreme weakness -Dizzness and/or Vertigo, Brain Fog -Nausea (feels like I have gotten off a rollercoaster) -Pressure Headaches, feels like wearing a tight Helmet when not having a headache. -Low fever that comes and goes

Watch out for bart that can be there too and BART is really in CHINA (I see you are in JAPAN) but now the chinese doctors are seeing BART cases over there so do not be surprise if BART is involved.
I have had the same symtoms with bart before I got BABS ...to me sounds more BART than BABS...but could be with babs as well...LOW fever is more BART and more fatigue in the morning and you are better at night.
BABS for me comes with chills around 12 pm....and bart is more sickness in the morning ..sleepy ...and you want to stay longer in bed.

I contracted the Babesia in the States, Duncani version.
Bart and Babesia is considered an overseas illness in Japan. Also the don't see these as a co-infections of Lyme. Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia, Rickettsia, etc, is considered a problem on their own, and the doctors in Japan kept asking me what does a Lyme co-infection mean? That was interesting to learn.
Also tested negative for the Bartonella anti-body and PCR via Igenex.

I think there's so much cross-over and possible combinations of co-infections (and so much controversy over strains, testing for them, etc), that no one can say empirically that most symptoms are this or that infection.
People have experiences here, and often will talk about x symptoms or another went away when they focused on a particular infection. Often, treating SOMETHING aggressively was a corner-turn for people.
And I've written similar....."could this be x or y?"
But sometimes, people write 'oh, you have X and THAT is absolutely the problem...."
That's not....it's not good.
With that said, I have babesia, and symptoms like yours. (duncani). I had fevers for the first 7 months I was sick--rarely headaches until recently (it took me 2 years to get diagnosed).
The main symptom that I've seen attributed to babesia in particular is night sweats. I have read that lyme can cause that--as well as other illnesses.....but night sweats seem to be a real signature.
But absence or presence of one particular symptom doesn't necessarily preclude or exclude anything.
I'm writing this, and thinking it probably isn't very helpful. I think the basic best thing is to try to identify, whether by tests or clinical diagnoses, what you're dealing with and treat all of them as you are able.

The primary reason I posted this thread was that the doctor here in Japan said my so-called symptoms is NOT Babesia. He has treated Babesia patients in New York, yet now in Japan yet with the strain being different (microti) I am trying to seek treatment, yet they still think its not the Babesia that is causing all these problems, yet all my blood tests and other medical studies have been negative.
I started to realized that really, what are the symptoms of Babesia? As the above poster mention, the symptoms can be different of everyone. And for some reason I only came up positive for Babesia and no Lyme anti-body, also the PCR is negative. Which in most cases, many have Lyme, yet for some reason, I only have Babesia. I can be a rare case, who knows, there's so much more discovery that needs to be done with this vector-borne illness.
