Can anyone tell me what the significance of full moons are in relation to Lyme Disease?? I have read a couple of posts referencing that "problem" but I don't understand what people are talking about.

Thanks!

My doc has noticed patients can have flares in symptoms when there are solar (sun) flares. He told me he will get a rash of calls from people who haven't called him in years when the solar flares are bad.

He had lyme himself (misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia for years), and he even notices small aches and pains during solar flares.

When I worked in a mental hospital years ago, all the employees said that the patients' symptoms often got worse during a full moon. They could see it.

Since lyme disease affects our brains, I expect that full moons could affect lymies adversely also. I have seen many people on this board say so.

I am not sure, but this past Tuesday, I was extremely tired/depressed and felt like it would never end (have not felt like this emotionally in a very long time).

Someone suggested possibly the full moon coming.

I went into labor with our second child when there was a full moon. A lot of people with Lyme have mentioned this full moon in particular was worse symptom-wise. I don't know why though.

Take care,
Ocean

This doesn't surprise me. Look how the moon affects the tides thru gravitational pull.

My dad who traveled the highways a lot told me ages ago the he would always notice more roadkill during a full moon.

So I can see it making a difference.

I see a difference in my dd as well during full

moon. The last week has been terrible when

previously she was doing fairly well.

It makes sense since parasites are

living organisms and they would be in synch with

natures rythms. Its a well known phenom that

the full moon triggers many organisms to spawn

in the ocean. Why wouldn't the Lyme etc. not

be sensitive to it as well.

For better or worse, everything around us and

inside of us is connected.

Usually I find this comforting. But not in this

case !!!

Then there is the fact that the different planets affect us according to the astrological signs we are born under.

There are astrologers who study this and can tell you what parts of your body are affected by the diff planets in your chart. (MEDICAL ASTROLOGY)

Example: Capricorn rules the bones and teeth. Virgo...the digestive system etc.

I always wondered about this and why these planets and signs we are born under can influence us so strongly. I understand the moon and the gravitational pull etc.

I have even seen info on the months we are born and the different diseases that are correlated. Yes,it is all connected, I just would like to know more,

Gael
