Ive heard of lyme and abnormal menstruation.. However, I havent heard anyone saying their periods are longer. My period has now been off and on for 2 weeks!! Is this part of lyme? (or babs/bart)..
I've also recently started a more intense exercise regimen.. not sure if this is part of it... Four months ago, I went off the pill because I was on so many other things... I like to know what my natural cycle is like and this is scaring me..

Unusually long periods can be caused by hormonal imbalances, such as thyroid conditions, and also by cysts or polyps.
Also of concern would be abnormal pregnancy, or miscarriage.
Regardless of the reason, you may be anemic by this point and should probably see your dr, just to be on the safe side.

Sounds HIGHLY Lyme-esque. My sister-in-law struggled with the same thing while treating lyme and now that she's in remission she's FINALLY getting the hormone thing under control.
The good news: totally normal for the disease you have...(mine was severe pms with very little MS bleeding.) The bad news: just another nightmare to deal with as you get beter.

I think that when you go off the pill, your periods can become longer too, because the pill shortens them.
