Does anyone have any suggestions for the great weakness and fatigue that sometimes comes with lyme? I haven't been on the board for quite a while, been managing pretty well, BUT, once in a while I get hit with this awful fatigue and weakness.. its usually when I get some kind of virus or something in my body I think, although this time I am not sure of the exact culprit. I missed a few days of work last week and really can't afford to be down and out. I have started some immune boasting supplements, Zinc, Lysine, selenium and echinachea... trying to eat protein..
Can anyone relate to this great fatigue? Its awful and i know it will pass, it always does, sometimes it can take a month or more though.. UGH. Not sure what to do at this point, I was in the emergency room on Easter with fatigue and chest pain, but it wasn't my heart (heart pain was always one of my biggest symptoms). Had a stress test yesterday, so we will see what that shows.. my pulse is low to begin with 49-55 resting (I usually run every day) and I did good on the actually test, but my pulse didn't hit my target rate.
I had a sore throat about 2 weeks ago and that was the start of it, although it wasnt strep. I had 2 z packs and then amoxy for 5 days and still my throat isn't right.. my lyme doc said it could be a fungal infection and prescribed something for me for that so we will see! Anyway, in the mean time I am so wiped out.. Any help would be appreciated. I get so emotional when I am down and out like this.

Fatigue is your body telling you something is wrong. I know you know that, but sometimes you need someone to tell you NOT to push it.
It is okay to just rest, your body is crying out to rest.
