We can chelate Hg and other heavy metals with BAL, but there is no known way to remove Ag.

Excellent point.
The most important thing is to know exactly HOW the silver is made and the WATER SOURCE.
This blue man made/makes his own. My guess is that the water source is not good. That is the problem with those who get the grey or blue-grey skin.
I don't know if it's in this piece or not, but he also says he still takes a large dose each day. As the liver does not easily process out silver, even the best quality from the best source should not be taken in excess or over long periods of time.
I have very mixed feelings about prophylatic Rxs...esp. vaccines since my mother - in - law died from a flu vaccine (per her cardiologist). And my instinct says the pertussis vaccine can be very problematic for many.
I see both sides and I often feel "in the middle".
If you catch a disease fast enough and you only need a "little"...that is one thing. But to try to eliminate a massive infection using a LOT of silver...worries me.
Just as massive abx. post op put my dad in kidney failure along with toxic hepatitis.
This is tough. I'm trying hard to find the most effective, the SAFEST, and the cheapest cure for one very very complex disease.
I don't think colloidal silver is "the" answer.

As Keebler says the water source is important. The Other thing is the size of the silver particle is very important. From what I understand the blue man was using large silver particles and that is what made him so blue.
If what the Argentyn site has with pictures comparing it to all the other collodial silver brands it has the smallest particle. I tried it but it didn't help me.
I use the ASAP brand 23 ppm in a nasal spray and it helped a lot. They claim their silver particle has a positive charge and they have a petend on that process. I don't know if either one is telling the truth or just marketing their product

I would be very cautious about using products manufactured by companies that are not under strict standards...and who knows which ones are "honest" - speaking truthfully or just out for the all-mighty buck?
This is tough!

I understand Argentyn 23 is used in iv's by llMD's and is used in hospitals for spider bites. It unfortunately didn't work for me. I used it under it's other brand name silver solution and only 10ppm. They only sold Argentyn 23 to doctors or with a perscription. That may be different now though.
I think I read the ASAP brand was approved by Home land security for cleaning surjical areas.
I eventually got tired of reading and just started trying the ones that looked the most promising.

Mesosilver is the safe brand. Many lyme disease patients are well now due to that stuff.

I was going to try that next because I hear some good things about it. I still hav't been able to beat this completely. I think I should try that and see if it can help.

If you believe many lyme patients have gotten well by taking CS, are you taking it now?
If not, why not?
Re: those who you say have gotten well from lyme using CS, what company made their CS?
How much did it cost?
Did they make it themselves?
How much did they take, how often, for how long?
Are they completely cured?
Have follow-up tests indicated that?
Are all of their symptoms gone?
It appears the EPA might be trying to regulate CS...soon.
Which maybe why we are hearing more about this on this board, again.
"Jan 11, 2009, OMG! -EPA Poised To Regulate Colloidal Silver As Pesticide- HELP!
As of today, there are only 11 days left to voice your opposition to the proposal for the EPA to regulate nanosilver products -- including colloidal silver -- as "pesticides."
As it stands, the main petition sponsor, the International Center For Technology Assessment (CTA) has drawn up a list of nanosilver products it claims needs to be regulated by EPA.
Among that list are the four top brands of colloidal silver (Sovereign Silver, Meso Silver, ASAP Silver, Utopia Silver) as well as many lesser known brands.
This is clearly a ploy to regulate colloidal silver as a "pesticide" under the EPA's revised FIFRA regulations, which requires manufacturers
***prove their silver products cause no harm to beneficial microorganisms or other creatures in the environment.***"
When you CS users all pee some silver into your toilet...where is silver ending up? How is it going to be removed? Is the level going to build up and up and up? What is the impact on our environment as this is released into our water supply (it ultimately is)?
Sewage treatment "Most biological oxidation processes for treating industrial wastewaters have in common the use of oxygen (or air)
and microbial action."
What happens if silver destroys the good microbes?
"For many years, chlorine revolutionised sanitation across the World, preventing diseases like cholera. Over the last century, microbes have mutated and new strains have formed that are now tolerant or immune to chlorine."
While CS MAY cure YOU of lyme, will Bb mutate and when your grandkids/great-grandkids get lyme, will their strain be resistant to CS? Then what?
Will the same happen if we over-use silver i.e., will the pathogens simply mutate into even stronger forms?
Yea, we must think about the potential ecological implications...longterm...esp. if colloidal silver is consumed and then excreted by many persons.
We need to find an effective, SAFE and a cheap way to deal with Bb.
A way that does not include the current laundry list of Rxs, supplements and treatments.

Well it got rid of my constant diarrhea I had for
a year. And now have normal bowel movement. So it
did not destroy the good microbes. And I am not
blue yet. Thank God. If it attaches so well to Bb
and Zinc. I think it has a big place in research
and development for attaching a blocker or
killer to Bb. Starving it out or killing it. Mine
is homemade and tests out at 200ppm. Yes I do
believe it is not a cure all but know for certain
it has a place in Bb research. It reacts with
the nerve effects of Bb very fast. Within the
hour. And as such could be used as a heart
medication in aberrant rhythms caused by Bb.
Don't toss it in the can yet. Yes of course they
want to regulate it. It spells M.O.N.E.Y. Money
taken away from mainstream pharmaceuticals. It
is a good thing greed was not so proliferous when
penicillin was invented from bread mold. From
1887 discovery of properties to 1945 when
Australia became the first country to have it
available for civilian use. It might never have
been produced. With this disease I have seen
young people die because of fear of overuse of
antibiotics in the presence of unknown illness
presumed to be caused by a viral entity because
of the faulty tests available and the lack of
dissemination of information to the medical
doctors. I wonder and wait to
see if it will be the US who finds the keys.
More money for research is the key we need now.

Silver should be the least of worries when thinking about this.
What happens if silver destroys the good microbes? Probiotics
While CS MAY cure YOU of lyme, will Bb mutate and when your grandkids/great-grandkids get lyme, will their strain be resistant to CS? Then what?
No, lyme becomes resistant with biofilm and form changes, bacteria don't build immunity to treatments.
Just stating what I have been told by friends that have taken CS for lyme... I'm giving it a try.

My understanding is the "blue man" did not take the same form of silver as is usually sold. And he took much more than 1 should.
As far as making it yourself... only if you're into chugging a brew you concoct w/ a chemistry set. My advice?... No Way! You'd be NUTZ!
I understand the uniformity of the tiny (few-atom) particles is quite important for best effectiveness.
I took a good-Q name-brand, recommended to me by my LLND, but I must admit I never really noticed much of a difference/ any "improvements" to my remaining neuro symptoms (primarily periphrial neuropathy).
I SUSPECT colloidal silver is Great for killing BB "in vitro", on surfaces, etc. I don't believe one's GI tract does a particularily good job of transfering it into the blood. (And that Might be just as well! )

You said, "bacteria don't build immunity to treatments"
Sorry, but the truth is: micro-organisms mutate/evolve much much faster than we do/have.
You all could care less about the impact of this heavy metal on the eco-system and the possibility of microbes mutating as a result of their exposure to Ag???
This silver which you WILL excrete WILL enter our ecosystem. It WILL go into our sewage system and will go into our rivers.
I said what if Ag destroys the good microbes...I meant all those in the natural environment, not merely those in our bowels.
BTW...one of the symptoms of silver POISONING is:
Gastroenteritis: An infection of the bowel
besides a fever and the blue coloring of the skin and nails.
If silver is so toxic to all bacteria, why do we still get dental cavities?
"Currently, many dental amalgams are composed of 43% to 54% mercury; the remaining powder is made up of mainly silver (~20-35%)[2] and some tin, copper (~10%), and zinc (~2%)."
There have been studies about the amts of Hg and Ag released from dental fillings:
"According to this study, an individual with a moderate load of amalgam, i.e. 30 restored surfaces, is predicted to exhibit the following emission rates:
O-Hg=22, U-Hg=3, F-Hg=60 and
F-Ag=27 g/d (d=24 hours),
consistent with a gross mass balance for Hg of approximately 60 g/d."
And yet...we still get dental cavities which ARE cause by bacteria despite the Ag emitted.

I love you all. There is no anger here. Any
disappointment I have is toward the IDSA and the
CDC for making
people suffer without a true diagnosis and a
cure. Making us resort to anything that has a
chance of making us feel better. After being sick so long.
Making people have to find out for themselves what
is wrong with them and then tell them no one
wants to treat. I know there is always a greater
plan in the scheme of things. And I accept that.

GREAT SMURFY, treepatrol!! It seems so real that it looks like it would be fuzzy to the touch.
I don't believe Ag (silver) continually builds up in the body, like PCBs, Marnie.
