I have been feeling better taking amoxy, biaxin and prevacid (prevpac) to kill h pylori overall i think it has helped lyme as well.

Now i finished the meds and my doctor wants me to go and see him and thats 2 weeks away.

Would i rather keep taking abx....i dont know what though or just wait and get off meds and see him in two weeks?

I am afraid i will loose whatever ive gained so far.

Is your doctor an LLMD? How long were you on the meds? Maybe he intends for you to stay on the meds till you see him, I know my LLMD will call in refills. I'd give him a call.

h pylori can take a while to treat. How long was your course for that?

I assume the doctor treating you for h pylori is different from the one treating you for lyme?

The initial feeling better is great but be careful, many of us have done something similar and thought after a short amount of abx we were better, then months later, it all comes back ---worse than you can imagine and much harder to treat.

I forget are you seeing a ILADS doctor?

My doctor is an LLMD, but i seriously do not like him. I am going to see Dr. S in maryland on May 14th.

I know bwillis....i am afraid of that very much that if i get off meds i will get back to square one. I don't want to think i am better, but want to continue. I have finished up prevpac the tripple therapy for the h pylori before i couldnt eat ANYTHING, now i can manage to eat a bit.

I dont want to get to square one again.

Keebler my course for h pylori was supposedly for 14 days; however finished med in a month I KNOW I KNOW i am wrong for doing that but i felt lyme and stomach and everything else i couldnt take 8 doses of pill everday...i think i herxed or felt more sick in the beg.

So should i call him to get more med or just wait?
