The last 2-3 days have been real tough. All of a sudden my stomach is just constantly gurgling and making loud noises 24/7. It's like it never turns off. I've been getting severe lower back tightness and my stomach feels rigid.

I feel terrible (weak). Neck has been stiffer, arms / legs tighter, jaw stiffer, sleeping poorly, etc. My ears have been ringing some too.

I've been off Biaxin now for 2 days to try to recover. This is becoming a losing battle on these Abx. Only 7 months into them and it seems like my stomach isn't cooperating anymore. [Frown]

General surgeon today isn't sure it's my gallbladder and is having me do another HIDA scan to assess function.

My body feels so stiff. It's terrible. I've tried Baclofen and Skelaxin and it's done little to nothing. I'm worried.

I have no fever, some chills, shaky, more jittery than ususal, seems like a bit less urine coming out, but more freqently. BP OK, pulse OK, etc.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Seekhelp,

I am feeling the exact way you have been for the past 2-3 days you say except i have been feeling like it for almost two months now!

I have lost 20lbs due to the GI issues. I am diagnosed with H pylori and had been on prevpac and just finished it two days ago but now i am feeling i am getting back to square one again.

I think my lyme symptoms flare along with GI issues.

I do have strong noises coming from stomach, belching bloating, acid reflex at times, soo much gas!! and stomach feels like a rock at times.

What has somewhat helped me is
digestive enzymes
oil of oregano
mastig gum (used for h pylori and gut inflammation)
prevpac

I am better than before. I couldnt even sip water before but now i force it in and suffer afterwards.

Hope you find some answers soon and let me know!

Soni

You might want to consider a sluggish liver. Especially if it is under performing for the development of bile. Do some research on the symptoms a sluggish liver, you might find many of your symptoms align.

Do you think you could be herxing?

---
I have alot of digestive issues. I have lyme and babs but I think that the babs is what has really caused my digestive issues. But that is just my guess. My whole digstive system is sluggish.

Also do you think you could have yeast? I have had yeast through my digestive track.

I was thinking yeast maybe.

My stomach makes terrible sounds and gets rather bloated

When the Yeastie Beasties get the upper hand.

My second thought is possibly bartonella.

GI symptoms can be associated with that.

Hugs,

Geneal

You said you are having your Gall bladder function assessed. Is your stool and urine normal (in color)?

Beyond checking Gall Bladder, Kidneys, and Liver levels, have you recently changed your diet? Added more fiber from leafy vegetables or other? Changing diet to include more fiber can (seemingly counterintuitively) cause gas, upset, cramping, constipation, and bloating for a while until your system levels out from the switch.

Are you possibly eating anything that you might have developed a sensitivity to? Recently eaten dairy or gluten or sugar? It can take many weeks after stopping a food to get over the effects of a food you are sensitive to.

Many antibiotics have side effects of GI discomfort and bloating. You might want to research the meds you are on, and call your Pharmacist to ask them. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and you might just be having common side effect issues, in which case if it is not something dangerous (per your Pharmacist or Doctor) it is up to you whether you feel the benefits will outweigh the discomfort, which may go away with continued use.

Yeast is also another possibility, as several already mentioned. Make sure you are on a very good probiotic, and are taking something to counteract the yeast, natural or prescription.

Just some thoughts and guesses. Hope you find some relief soon.

One thing you can also try is some Activated Charcoal. It is very good at adsorbing (not absorbing) impurities like toxins in the stomach/GI. I have taken this in the past when I was experiencing too much of a Herx, or was having GI upset from dairy or something else I learned not to eat anymore.

And of course I was thinking the same thing! Watch that diet carefully or you will pay! You don't need one problem on top of another.

I wonder if the Bartonella isn't causing similar problems for me too. Yesterday my stomach hurt so bad for hours. The pain went through my stomach and settled in my back too.

And I had the strange sounds coming from my belly all day too.

Why does the stomach make loud noises? Is it gas or something else?
