Okay, it started in my left wrist when I had to lean on it while I was climbing through the kitchen window because I locked myself out. It ended after I moved a lot of heavy charts for several hours. The pain was like nothing I have experienced before. Does the Lyme spirochete hate exercise or something?

I think it begins that way for many. The joint pain showed up in one of my elbows first, then spread to my wrists and fingers days/weeks later, then hips and knees. Not fun. After a year or two in treatment it has calmed down somewhat for me.

It really depends on the person's individual affliction: it could be carpal tunnel, repetitive stress, Lyme (Bb), bartonella, candida, strep, other mycobacteria... We have no way of knowing. Get a clinical assessment with blood tests...you get the idea.
All: any good Lyme docs in Kentucky?!

Im 20 years old & have NEVER been able to exercise.
Well...maybe when I was around six.
But after that I could never run, ride a bike, or play a game.
Not complaining -- just letting you know youre not alone.
My ankles, knees, hips, & wrists are the worse. My heart gives up quick though & thats why I cant attempt much. besides the pain... and I have an incredibly high tolerance!
I get momentarily relief (5-10minutes worth) taking hot epsom baths.
or deep massage with strong tiger balm. Its a pleasurable painful kind of massage.
some homeopathics work at very high doses too...

I should mention that for me 40 mg benicar every 6 hours abates the joint pain somewhat, and 40 mg every 3 hours cuts the pain a bunch but I don't like taking such a high dose for very long.

I sometimes can't figure out if I am having joint pain or muscle pain.
Is there a way for me to differetiate between the two?

you probably have both. The muscles get sore because they have to work over-time compensating for the joint pain.
one of the best ways to take the pressure off the joint is to strengthen the muscle on either side of it...
i've found keeping my legs strong and stretched helps tremendously...

I have developed joint and muscle pain which came on pretty much as you describe and was greatly worsened by exercise. It might be related to taking levaquin which can cause tendonitis but it could just be lyme as well. I have tried a lot things recently. L Argenine seems to help a little. You have to take it on an empty stomach. I also rub DMSO on my painful areas and it helps a little. I am seeing a physical therapist who advises me how to move the arm to keep mobility but not cause further damage. That is helping as it is not so stiff. I hope you get over it.

Thanks all. You all have really helped me understand this disease more. The pain was horrid. I just don't think Lyme likes blood flowing or something. Whatever!
