Is it safe to take a high dose of Vit C IV about 40 grams? Im doing it one time to detox from mercury and heavy metals but I dont know if this is safe for lyme? Has anyone done this? I need to cancel my appointment today if I hear anything bad about this.

It's very safe and a great therapy for many things but I have not heard of it used for chelation.
Usually sodium or calcium EDTA is used to chelate, among other things. Some doc use DMPS which I am not a fan of.
Sometimes, a high dose IV Vit C drip is given in between EDTA IV drips, but not just Vit C alone.

I take 20 gms a day. I have also had it IV. It is a great immune system enhancer and has helped me immensly.
LymenetEurope is VERY Anti Alternative medicine for whatever reasons. That's their platform. Look up Linus Pauling and see the research on Vitamin C therapy.

As with any supplement and Lyme vitamin C is controversial. I do think it can be helpful to boost immunity and as an antioxidant. It will not kill anything or cure you by itself, but as part of an overall nutritional approach it can be helpful.
I used to do IV's of this for hubby. We usually just did 25 grams at a time although I think he has had higher doses in some docs offices before. We did this daily when he was on IV Rocephin and then continued it 3 - 5 times per week for 2 or 3 years.
The main potential side effect with IV Vitamin C is possibly hypoglycemia -- could be worse if the IV is done too quickly. Some docs mix the IV with D5W instead of normal saline for this reason.

No it is not too high and is an excellent anti inflammatory, immune booster among other things.
But I would question how it is going to chelate your heavy metals. It's not chelation therapy but very good for you.

Where can you purchase IV Vit C?? Do the infusion companies supply it??

Actually if you have a PICC line your doc can write a scrip. You can even get it from Walgreens or a compounding pharmacy like Medaus or Wellness. Some is corn based but there are other types available -- from sugar beets or there is a 3rd type that I forget right now. Oh, I remember -- it was casava. Hubby has used all of these at various times. A 50cc bottle equals 25 grams of Vitamin C.
You would need the scrip for the vitamin c, a scrip for the IV bags (hubby used 250 cc of D5W per IV), another scrip for IV tubing (one set per IV) and one final scrip for 10 cc syringes. Also would need either normal saline or heplock to flush the line before and after each IV.
Much much cheaper to do your own IV's than to pay the doc. But getting them to agree to write the scrips may not be easy.
