I've read about Lyme causing Bell's Palsy-like symptoms. I, however, seem to experience something of the opposite. The right side of my face almost cramps up instead of slacking like with Bell's.
If I'm doing something that requires concentration (what doesn't anymore?!) I find that the right side sort of tweaks up in a half-squint. It's probably only noticeable to me, but it's a pretty annoying feeling.
When I move the muscles in my face they're working symmetrically and I don't have any loss of sensation... just the irritating cramping.

LOL!!! We do have to keep our sense of humor dont we!
I do have, well not like use to, muscle spasms in my left side of mouth. They dont bother me as much and they did/do go downward. I guess if its the right nerve hitting the right muscle it could go up too!?
