I have an apt. with him July 1st for the first time. I am thinking of flying instead of
driving. If anybody out there flies into see him can you tell me what airport you fly into
and how far it is from his office. Also, in his packet he listed a few hotels to stay at. Anybody have a hotel that they would recommend. Any info would be great. Thanks, Marcie

Stay at the comfort inn - great rate and they shuttle you to / from his office for free. Also free breakfast - can't beat it!

We always flew into Kansas City, Missouri. Unfortunately it is about a 3 1/2 drive from there to the doctor's office. We rented a car at the airport.
It was just too expensive for us to fly into Springfield/Branson.

from the private flight area (forgot the specific name of that)of the airport it was about 15-20 minute ride.
They usually had courtesy cars they give you for free.
But when they were all out a cab cost about 25 bucks each way!!
Flew out of the downtown airport ONCE,,,never again,,that is a terrible airport and was NO clser I dont think.
The loop of interstate around the city helps alot. make a couple right turns off that at proper spots and your right there. When you see that McKee "D"s sign, your there!!
And they ARE correct, normal flights to and from there are REAL expensive AND time consuming because connections dont correspond!! You will be laying over for most of a whole day to go 500 miles.
I checked bus connections from here too,,,they were JUST as bad!! Time and money wise. I could drive there twice as fast and just as much money,,,flights same way!!
Private flights were my ONLY option!!!being--just don-

It's at the corner of Glenstone and Sunshine. It's Lamplighter South.
I think Comfort Inn might be a better choice though.

We stayed at the Lamplighter Inn South which is about a mile away from his office. It's okay and reasonable.
Hubby is sick of driving, too, and we're considering flying.

Cherylsue- Not sure where you are at in IL, but I am flying out of Midway in Chicago. I am from Chicago and am dropping my kids of at my mom's.
Delta has a flight that is 230.00 round trip, but has layovers. The total flight time is 4 hours their and 5 back, so it might not be worth
flying if you only have an eight hour drive. I am going by myself and do not want to drive that far. Flying out of Detroit is 300.00. I am not a big fan of driving long distance so flying to
me is worth it. I get car sick and I am like a kid with, are we their yet!
