I had 2 family events this weekend and was reluctant as to whether I would feel up to attend either, but I pushed myself and did both.
Last night, I had the Bar Mitzvahs of my twin nephews and I drove about 40 min. to get there and the entire even lasted about 4 hours. I was exhausted driving home and went straight to bed at 11pm.
Got up this morning and about 9am and went to a relatives for a gathering of more family for Mothers Day. This lasted about 3 hours.
I came home and was hit again with a huge wave of exhaustion, only I didn't go to bed as it was just 3pm and my kids were still being active. I didn't want to take away from my Wifes special day. My eyes were so glossy and then boom, out of nowhere, I had this huge wave of depression come on.
I felt like a tired kid who didn't get his afternoon nap and I just felt like crying my eyes out. I went and got some ice cold crystal light ice tea and drank a cup. 20 min. later, the fatigue lifted a bit and the depression went right away. I'm like "what the heck" was that all about.
I'm still exhausted even right now at 8:20pm, but not depressed at all.
So, was this a Lyme attack or just overdoing it this weekend ? I would never tire like I do now when I was well. I will be hitting the hay very soon, but just wanted to see if anyone else gets this.
Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there...

Hey there...
I can't say what it is making that happen... cause I am not a doctor and I don't know... 2 good reasons, eh? HA!
BUT...
If your blood sugar drops it could have that effect. And as the brain is feeling the effects of the antibiotics it can cause what I call (not an official term) as emotional herxes.
I know few folks who haven't had episodes of wanting to cry for no reason. Sometimes it is for a few minutes... sometimes all day long.
That's fun! NOT!
But I don't see it as unusual.
Do check with your doc if it continues or gets worse.

Yeah, I had that happen.
Could you have been dehydrated? If you felt better after drinking a tea, maybe it was that you weren't getting enough fluids.
Or, maybe you're just like me and need to sit, have some quiet time, and a nice drink (tea, water, etc. of course) so you can face the world again.

My guess would be adrenal exhaustion. The iced tea probably gave you a shot of adrenaline.
