My LLMD wrote me a script for Baclofen for pain. She said it is often prescribed to MS patience but thought it may help me.
I would just like to know if anyone here has taken this med. and if it did indeed help with pain. The side effects look scary to me, but they always do.
I like to research meds and get feedback before I feel script.
Thank you so much.

I've been on it for 6-7 months. It's a muscle relaxer more than a pain med. No bad side effects at all for me. It's somewhat useful, but no cure.

Do you by any chance take another muscle relaxer as well? (I'm already taking 700 mg of Soma before bed, like this isn't enough to knock out a large elephant
Seems like I should wean off one before taking another, but LLMD just gave me the prx and recommended I "try" it. Do you take it only before bed or during the day also?
Past year has been overwhelming me with intense pain, anxiety and other neuro stuff.
Thank for any imput!

Just be careful with it... I'm sure you are aware it works via a different mechanism than other muscle relaxants.
I have taken other muscle relaxants in the past with no problems. When I took a Baclofen, it made me so weak I literally could barely move. I was flat on my back for six hours.
You might want to try half a tablet to start.

I was prescribed it for pain, too. I don't have any side effects except that it puts me to sleep, so I take it before bed. My LLMD said I can take it during the day, too.
