Thanks Carol. Each Dr I visited knew the other drugs I was taking. My cardiologist even saw my Picc line for my abx infusion drugs and still kept me on Lovastatin.
The article says the statin effects may not be reversible.
The very thing I'm trying to rid myself of (brain fog) is being worsened by the statin. Just totally unbelievable that the Specialists don't warn you of these things.
Thank you for the Link.

My cholesterol is sky high as well and I'm only 25 years old. Actually, it's been VERY high since I was around 18... it may have been high even BEFORE that but have no idea. Either I have extremely BAD genes or it's the illness causing it.
My cardiologist tried to put me on a statin as well, but I declined. My LLMD has me on Red Yeast Rice which is a more natural way of trying to lower cholesterol. It has worked for me, though it hasn't gotten it down to where it should be, but it has lowered it a good bit. My cholesterol is so high, it's going to take a lot to lower it within normal range.
