This was proven to be a hoax a long while back. (Edit for clarification: I mean the "Montauk Monster" thing)

I wish they wouldn't bring Lyme into it and muddy the subject even further.

The Lyme-Plum Island connection is clearer than most care to admit. This "new monster" (on MSN home page today) is where I found the Lyme story about the Lyme bacteria being release from Plum Island....so they say.

I believe the connection they are trying to get across...too much experimenting going wrong and we are paying the price.

I don't know about this one but I do think the original one was real. I didn't see any mention of Lyme here, though.

The original one was made look like it was fake (ie: discredited with stupid, tacky computer graphics, etc.) & then the body "mysteriously" disappeared. The DNA was tested & they could not find a match. Everyone got very quiet after that.

If you watch the original interview with the girls who found it - it doesn't seem like they were faking anything. I don't know about this recent situation. It might be disinformation.

Plum Island is not secure. There have been many articles throughout the years in local papers about this issue. I used to live in NJ - so, I followed it for quite a while even before I had Lyme.

I, personally, have a friend who is a photographer. He was hired back in the 80's to go to the island & photograph the "monkeys" on the island.

He had no idea what Plum Island was. Plum Island is off of Long Island in NY. No monkeys should be there.
