I was Rx'd the shots for fatigue and I guess to boost mental clarity (?)
I've done a search, I haven't found any comment like this.
I told my LLMD that the B12 shots make me tired.
He told me to stop.
Aside: Coffee also makes me tired. There's no pick-me-up.
Why would I get soooo tired from B12 shots that are supposed to help relieve fatigue? ????

If it is methyl B12, it can boost the methylation pathway and cause you to detox...which could lead to fatigue. There is methyl in coffee as well.

Carly--
If your nerves have been deprived of B12 and improperly working, you can actually become relaxed/sleepy from B12 shots....obviously I don't know your medical situation but I thought I would pass this along as I've read this from others with peripheral neuropathy.....

This happened to me too. Within an hour for taking the B12 shot I got really fatigued and felt unwell.
I was taking the Hydroxocobalmin B12.
My doctor told me to stop. He thought I was allergic to a product or preservative in the injection.
Im taking the B12 Extreme sublingual from prohealth.com now

Good point about the additives. You can get preservative-free and keep it in the fridge.
B-12 shots always gave me such a sense of well-being and helped me feel more like an actual human being. Sometimes, they'd make me feel so good that I'd overdo it and suffer the next day from exhaustion - but more from not monitoring my output.
