I have had a constant headache for 2 weeks. Usually dull, but sometimes I will get sharp pains running down the right side of my head to my neck.

The main pain is in the front and sides of my head. My neck feels tense. Am I alone?

What medications do you all use for your headaches? I am using Advil and it does not work. Please help. I am miserable.

I am not currently on antibiotics. I had to stop the mino 1 1/2 weeks ago b/c of the dizziness.
Thanks for the help.

Wondering whether you could have a sinus infection? Those headaches can be a killer as well. Any pain in the "typical" sinus cavities?

nope, no pain in the sinus area. When I push around my sinus cavities I have no pain or tenderness.

Thanks for the help.

Are you seeing an LLMD? I know mino can cause dizziness, but there should be something else you can take. I would venture to guess that you need abx to get rid of your headache.

My husband has the constant headache and shooting pains. It is getting less severe with Lyme/coinfection treatment.

My 5 year old had a headache for a year but just last week it went away. He has been on bactrim, zith, mepron, artemisinin and most recently, rifampin switched for bactrim.

Good luck to you.

Maybe you could try another tetracycline abx? I agree with the others that it may take abx to kick it. Doxy was a miracle worker on my headache........ gave up counting how long I had it; after I was on doxy for less than a month, it was gone.

I've done different things for headaches because it depends what type you're having.

For burning, stinging headaches I'd use an ice pack and aspirin.

Had some swelling in base of skull so my LLMD put me on Diamox (diuretic) so that helped with incredible pain and pressure in neck and head.

Other headaches I take Vicodin and Soma.

Hope this helps!
