I take this and love it. I have not worked for them either, but worked in a health food store and bought it cheap.
Love it. Worth every penny -- even at retail.

Why wouldn't it be good. It has a great list of ingredients all known and documented for their health benefits. Aaron E. Katz, M.D is an alternative urologist, the one to go to in NYC, if you are having an issue and want an alternative point of view and treatment. He also used saw palmetto early on. and PC spez before it became controversial.
Of course it will help with inflammation. That is what the product is for All the ingredients in the product have been used for centuries especially in Ayurvedic medicine.
We don't need studies to confirm this. They have been doing so for centuries and New Chapter is an very good brand.

I've been taking it for over 4 years. Got me off Bextra when I was at my worst.
It's also being used by Veterinarians. I give it to my elderly dogs every day..
Ditto what Abxnomore says...
Editing to add: When you first start taking it, be sure to heed the instructions 'take with food'. The rosemary may repeat on you a bit if you take it on empty stomach when you're not used to it. I have found that I can take it whenever now if needed.

This sounds like some interesting stuff. Thanks for posting.
1: Zyflamend reduces LTB4 formation and prevents oral carcinogenesis in a 7,12-dimethylbenz[alpha]anthracene (DMBA)-induced hamster cheek pouch model.

PMID: 18687669 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
2: Zyflamend, a polyherbal preparation, inhibits invasion, suppresses osteoclastogenesis, and potentiates apoptosis through down-regulation of NF-kappa B activation and NF-kappa B-regulated gene products.
3: Inhibition of lipoxygenase activity: implications for the treatment and chemoprevention of prostate cancer.

5: Zyflamend-mediated inhibition of human prostate cancer PC3 cell proliferation: effects on 12-LOX and Rb protein phosphorylation.

6: Zyflamend, a unique herbal preparation with nonselective COX inhibitory activity, induces apoptosis of prostate cancer cells that lack COX-2 expression.
Bemis DL, Capodice JL, Anastasiadis AG, Katz AE, Buttyan R.
Olive oil-extra virgin, maltodextrin, silica and yellow beeswax. Capsule:
Gelatin, vegetable glycerin, purified water and carob.
Our premium softgel capsules are prepared without any chemical solvents and are prion free.
Then I checked Amazon & found it a lot cheaper. I read some reviews & apparently there are some larger quantities of capsules, with smaller pills for those who can't swallow the larger ones.
It would seem that, since you would have to consume more, you'd be better off with the larger pills $-wise as long as you can swallow them????
I couldn't find the actual ingredient listing on the several that I clicked on there, maybe someone else would like to try and figure it out.

iherb.com is currently giving away free samples (10 capsules) of Zyflamend.
I just got some and will have to see how I like it.
Another good turmeric based anti-inflammatory is InflaThera by ProThera. It has basically the same ingredients as Zyflamend, but in higher concentrations.
Apparently one isn't "better" than the other-it's just which concentration works better for your body.
InflaThera is $20 for 60 capsules, suggested dose 2/day. Works wonders for me. Much better than the steroids I took (alas) pre-dx.
Unfortunately, you have to get InflaThera from drs who sell ProThera products.
I have no affiliation w/ ProThera.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I've been talking about - alternative therapies being brought into the mainstream through good research and clinical practice.
