I'm currently taking 2 x 500mg of Zithromax per day to work with my atovaquone (Mepron).

Most sites say 200-600mg per day is the correct amount.

Can anyone tell me if 1g per day of Zithromax is OK?

The half-life of zithromax is 68 hours so it remains in the body a considerable time.

My impression is that the dosage is very individual on every antibiotic.

I take 500 mg Zithromax per day, but also 500mg Ceftin and 400 mg Plaquenil. I've seen others take 1g of Zithromax.

You should however ramp up the dosage on Zithromax. Did provoke a huge herx on me.
