I'm slowly eradicating many symptoms, but one that I just can't seem to shake is intolerance to heat, and especially sun. If I spend any time outdoors or try small amounts of exercise and sweat, I feel flulike, with a flare in other symptoms, as well. I also get weird patchy "goosebumps", mostly on my legs..not a rash, not red, just raised bumps. I do not tolerate baths or heating pads well either. I used to be intolerant to the cold, but that has lessened over time. I'm currently being treated Bart and Babesia. Wondering if Lyrica might help. I haven't been outdoors for a few years in warm weather..good for tick control, bad for my mood! Thanks in advance for any thoughts/advice.

IV graduate. As of 1/10, oral Omnicef, Minocyline, Mycobutin, Levaquin, and Flagyl. Lyrica and a bunch of supplements.

Hi, Lyrica is basically neurontin.
If you can tolerate Neurontin which I take high doses of.
Yet, tried 6 times before side effects left.
Had to break the 100 to 50.
Now on 1800 daily.
Has helped about 5 of symptoms including massive Cluster headaches & migraines.
Other Lyme side effects also.
So if you cane tolerate Neurontin, you prob. can do Lyrica, all it had is diff. fillers, to make more money, Than normal Gabapentin which I am really taking.
Just another way for big Pharma to make more $$$.
You can even buy Gaba health food store, lot less if you do not have Ins.
Huggggsss, to all IN Need...Kerry

I used to have that and it's completely gone now. I think it's just a matter of continuing treatment .... mine went away as the infections did.
