Can Mepron have any effect on babesia in a 2 year old, without zithromax? The 2 year old is taking amoxicillin.

I think so. I can't take Zith any more because it gave me tinnitus, and I'm starting Babs treatment. We are using Biaxin with it, but if that worsens tinnitus then we will go to any one of several other antibiotics to combine with Babs treatment.

As far as I know, Mepron should always be taken with an antibiotic like zithromax or biaxin so the babesia does not become resistant to the Mepron. My 2 year old is currently taking both Mepron and biaxin.
