Just started Bactrim DS 800-160 2X day for Bart and Er-lick-e-ya (sorry, lazy about looking up the proper spelling).
What's the reason for drinking lots of water? I'm not going to have to be concerned about liver issues am I? The plan is one month's worth of Bactrim as my LLMD feels I'm on the cusp of beating what I got.
From what I have read so far, it seems Bactrim is relatively safe as compared to other antibiotics. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Bactrim reduces urinary output which can result in kidney stones if you don't drink a lot of water.
Bactrim is by far my favorite and most effective of all the meds I've taken...it can also make you feel a bit wired for several days, but that will pass.
