I did not double space this... sorry I didnt have time.
Here is a list of my symptoms following Dr Burrascano's guide
1.- I have persistent swollen glands to be mild/moderate often. Always have a post nasal drip.
2.- Sore throat is moderate severity/often frequency. I always feel like I am about to be terribly sick with a cold.
3.- I have low grade fevers every single day and occasional 99.9 fevers. My body always aches like if I had a full set fever.
4.- As of September I developed Joint Pain in my lower spine in my fingers, hand, wrists, feet, elbows, and knees. Never before did I suffer from any joint pain it was brought on like a huge wave. The frequency is everyday.
5.- I have a discomfort in my back like if something was stuck between my spine and my lungs and sometimes it irradiates a sensation of an itch and a burn. Its a horrible sensation.
6.- I have muscle cramps and spasms. Especially in my legs Almost everyday. Also, and I really don't know how to explain this one, but I feel a trembling in both the bottom of my feet as if the nerves where conducting some kind of electricity... I know this is weird.
7.- I have had some day were I have experienced difficulty thinking and complete word block, with speech errors - wrong words. But thank goodness it is not that frequent.
8.- I have had bouts of extreme depression were my judgment has been clouded and I have though of suicide to stop living in this eternal pain and discomfort that my body is going through. But then my fighting spirit comes back and I think I can beat this even if the doctors I've seen till now are clueless.
9.- I have had anxiety attacks but I think they are due to what I am going through
10.- I have a constant tremor inside, deep inside my body EVERY SINGLE DAY. It feels as though my nerves were working over time.
11.- I have light headaches every day sometimes as soon as I wake up. I call them light because I can function but they hurt. They are located at random through out the brain
12.- I have, since 3 years ago, an extreme sensitivity to light every day.
13.- This one is a fun one. As of the year 2007 I started having many flashers and floaters and dots and visual disturbances that resemble lighting rods. I went to several ophthalmologist to rule out retinal detachments and other medical conditions. All of these conditions were ruled out So I went to a Neurologist and after an MRI he ruled out Brain tumor, there were no brain lesions which is good. But as of 7 months ago my eye symptoms got a 100 percent worst. I kept on asking both Infectious disease doctor and Neurologist if there was a bacteria that could hide in the brain and affect the nerves of the eyes and I was told that there is no such thing!!!!!! It is until now reading the many literature on Lyme disease that there are several bacteria's that can affect the nerves of the eyes and thus producing all the effects of which I am suffering every single day. My main fear is that I will lose my eyesight if this is not looked in to in a timely manner.
14.- After I caught a cold in february I developed a constant ringing in my right ear. My left ear started to do the same as of a week ago. So I conclude that what ever I have is a very opportunistic disease because as soon as my immune system/defense is compromised by a cold or what ever, new symptoms develop or deepen.
15.- I always, especially when walking, have a feeling that I am about to fall forward. Its not that I am dizzy its more like I feel like I am walking in a world that is always rocking back and forth.
16.- Because of the last point I am always in a constant state of lightheadedness.
17.- I have felt both tingling and numbness in both feet and legs. The burning sensation, which I mentioned earlier, that I feel always starts at my back and it irradiates in to my arms and hands. Another symptom that I have experienced is that of my skin being burnt or supper sensitive, like if I have been exposed to the sun for a long time... This sensation happened during the winter several times.
18.- Sometimes I feel that the area around my right ear becomes numb.
19.- I am on some days supper fatigued, so much so that taking a couple of steps will make me want to faint, also breathing is hard when I get this tired feeling.
20.- There are other days that I feel my nerves, my whole nervous system is like super crisp and my nerves hurt... This one is so hard to explain. The problem is that I can't get to sleep when my nerves get like this and I stay up all night just hurting. or I wake up early or its a very fractioned sleep. So I take a sleeping pill and the next morning I feel luppy and super tired.
21.- I tend to take 30 mints to an hour naps so I can get through the day.
22.- I am loosing my hair.
23.- I have suffered of unexplained menstrual irregularity. When I first started having the fevers and the inside trembling I missed my period for 3 months then it came back, now its just very weird.
24.- I suffer from Heart burn and stomach pain every night. I don't know what is going on down there but I tend to be constipated a lot so I take extra fiber but that doesn't help either.
25.- For the first time in my life I have experienced heart palpitations. Never before did I have a problem with my heart its such a horrible feeling having your heart race or skip a beat for no reason.
26.- My chest does hurt but I don't think its from the inside I think more from the outside like the tissue that surrounds my lungs. It is a feeling of pain and burning.
27.- I feel like my head is about to explode everyday because I feel like it is stuffed
28.- I used to have night sweats every night now not so much, but what I do have are night chills... They kind of go like this: I'll be in bed trying to fall as sleep I'll be warm and all of the sudden I get a chill and my whole body begins to tremble and my body hurts after a couple of minutes they go away.
29.- Exaggerated feeling of a worse hangover happened to me once. Ever since then I stopped drinking. I had 2 glasses of wine and I ended up being sick for like 2 days vomiting, room spinning, the works and this only from 2 glasses of wine. Before this I was able to drink 2 glasses of wine with out any problem.
30.- As for the last point of symptoms flaring up every 4 weeks some of them do like the arthritis, or a pain that I get deep in both my breasts.... some are constant, everyday.
The story goes something like this
In the year of 2007, about summer time and while going to a fertility doctor I started having very subtle visual disturbances I shrugged them off. I would get them when I was out door and if it was very light outside. I would also get them while working out. I love to exercise, by the way. But I have not done it lately ( about 9 months) do to how I have been feeling.
In the month of September I had an episode that lasted 3 to 4 weeks where I was extremely tired, I didn't want to work out. I had fevers and chills and the visual disturbances became more prominent. I went to my family doctor since I had just come back from Mexico city after being there 2 weeks and I told him I thought it could be parasites. Of course we did the blood and stool tests but everything came back negative. Since this episode lasted only a month I blew it off and started working out again, training for the 5k I would run next year (2008). I also teach ballet and salsa. I did notice my stamina was low but I figured it was all the hormones the fertility doctor was giving me. Boy was I wrong.
In the Month of March 2008 after traveling by airplane I caught the flu. March 11th to the 18th had full on set flu, high fever 104 almost daily. After that week because of my asthma I was put on steroids to control the severity. It was on the 5th day of treatment that I felt something go in to my back area where I know feel something stuck March 23rd was the night that all symptoms started:
The first thing I felt was heart palpitations (first time ever in my life) and tremble inside the body, some jerking of the nerves. The next day I had a feeling of something stuck inside chest cavity between lungs and spine, in the upper back. This feeling of having something stuck inside chest cavity would appear about midday and would go away by night, I usually got a very goodnight's rest. This went out for about a month. Tried to work out during this month, but I developed a slight fever after each workout so I stopped. Also because of the discomfort I was nauseous a feeling of wanting to vomit. About June/July I saw various doctors like a cardiologist and Infectious disease doctor but nothing was found. I was told I was very healthy.
By August the Discomfort in chest cavity, between spine and lungs around the upper back, became a constant everyday feeling. In late August of 2008 I caught a cold and ever since then its been down hill from there. With symptoms adding on every couple of months.
And that is basically my story.

Welcome to Lymenet!! I'm sorry you had the need to look us up though!!
Question: Where did you travel in March 2008?
All of this COULD be Lyme... do you have pets or any known exposure to ticks?
I'll send you a PM about a possible LLMD, Lyme Literate MD.
I brought up the Lyme symptoms list for you. Look it over. You could very well have babesia. The chills sound like babesia. I never had the sweats, just the chills.

I've been where you are and I am a LOT better after treating HHV-6, lyme, enterovirus and Cpn. I'm still treating some pathogens, so I'm not totally well, but I am thrilled to be so much better.
Best, Timaca

We have actually witen back and forth a couple of times. To your question I traveled to Nashville Tenesse. I stayed at a Hampton Inn and they were pretty clean... I dont think I caught it there. Looking back the eye/visual disturbance-thing had been with me for a year then. I dont have pets right now but I did. I had a beautiful dog it died in 2004 January. He was actually my brothers dog but he was with my parents and I was living with them.
to your other question I live in a Suburban area but I like to go hiking and walking on bike paths and like to seat on the grass.
By the way I do have the Lyme list symptom in fact I printed several copies for me to discuss with the doctor, I'll hopefully see very soon! I hope!
Thanks Peace and health to u Ira
