My husband has started w/a recommended LLMD but I'm not impressed. Please help me sort this out.
1st visit he did blood work (no lyme test that I know of) and found high uric acid (Gout), increased blood sugar, low vit. D, very high mercury reading and increased blood pressure.
No abx were prescribed, no detox for the mercury until I pressed my husband to ask upon which the doc said I would want that. Duh.
We have a pos. Bowen Test and a neg. Flow Cytometry test which is quite accurate. His number was 13, 18 is considered positive. I called the lab and they said most LLMD's would begin treatment with a level of 13.
The level 18 for a positive result was a concession by the lab to get the test approved. He has lyme.
We are arguing constantly because he is not educating himself and claims these diseases are hereditary. I said SO IS LYME. It is damaging our marriage and I love him so much I want to save it.
Before the lyme progressed and he was well we had fun. I am immensely better and have begun to live life while he is declining.
Any suggestions?? I can't do much since his new job is in CA and I'm stuck in FL indefinitely.
I'm very very sad, disturbed and wondering how this will end.
Please help! Curley

To me, a good lyme doc is one who follows the Burrascano lyme treatment guidelines.
You can call the doc's office and ask if he follows Burrascano. If not, I would look for a doc who does.
What you have written doesn't sound like what a Burrascano doc would do. But, you also don't know if hubby has correctly told you all that happened. Oh, why do I think that? Must be because that's what happens when I ask my husband what the doctor said and did.

Hi Curley--
Here is a copy of a letter I wrote to a guy named Pinster who thought Lyme was No Big Deal-
Have you hubby read this to give him a Idea of what could be in store for him if he dose not take this seriously --Jay--
Pinster Looks like you are going to be stupid.
So Pinster-- Do everything you ever wanted to do in your life-- in the next six months while you still can.
Get a good comfortable bed-- you are going to be there a lot.
Take some pictures of how you used to be.
Run around the block and jump up and down as many times as you can--just to see how it feels for the last time.
Spin around till you get dizzy- it will be good practice for whats to come.
You are going to have to learn a lot of medical terms--so you might as well start now while you can still remember.
--Eat all the food you Really like- dont worry about your weight-this wont last long.
You are going to spend the rest of your life as a drug addict - just not the fun kind-- Get on good terms with your doc and pharmacy. Closer the better--
Learn how to use spell check and get a lot of sticky notes-make some real easy type of file system so thing dont get lost ( I pin everything to the wall)
Do some simple math on paper-and save it- to prove you used to be able to do it. Hay-there you go- this could be the first thing you pin to the wall.
Clean your home for the last time- Do a good job its going to have to last a while.
Bookmark Lymenet.org -you will be coming here a Lot.
Also get a good comfortable chair - for when you not in bed.
Take up some hobby that you can do from the comfortable chair. Paint by numbers is perty good except for all numbers and lines. Get a big paint brush-it wont matter.
Go to work and be productive-- build up as much sick leave as you can- it will come in handy.
Get hooked up with Meals on Wheels-- They deliver .Time is a wasting --
Talk to your neighbors - so they know who that was standing out in front of your house yesterday and wont call the cops.
-This will save you from having to get out of bed and to find some ID. Did you pin it to the wall?
Go to a bar--have some fun- Get Lucky if you can. Have Safe Sex-- You dont want to give them anything.
Write down the names of the friends you used to have-Pin to wall--
Look your doing good -- you already have 3 things pinned to the wall.
Get to know your kids--they wont be around much from now on.You know how kids are.
Take a vacation- your not going to be going very far from home - Perty Soon.
Make a list of the 5 stupidest things you ever did--
Leave room at the top of the page for not taking enough ABX for long enough when the Lyme disease was easier to Kill.
There wont be that many more stupid things you have done because You wont be able to do many more things. -- Pin list to wall.--Jay--

The letter is great and a good idea to get to say it all.
A lawyer once told me if you want someone to read
your letter write it like a sandwich.
The meat of the sandwich is in the middle. The
Beginning and end (the bread) should be
complementary, enticing to the reader.
Starting a letter like "Dear John...I'm concerned
about your health. I Know you are fully capable
of making medical decisions on your own, but I
wish I was there with you. Lyme is too serious to
make decisions on your own."
Now move on to But it "Looks like you are going
to be stupid....."
end it with how concerned you are about your marriage, his health...how helpless you feel stuck in FL..
