Hi fellow Lymies,

I am a 28 year old female who had surgery last Monday to have a Power Port implanted in my chest.

The actual surgery went well and giving myself the antibiotic treatments is relatively easy.

I am now concerned about the pain I am feeling in my chest. I am having sharp pains in my chest/heart. It is hard for me to get comfortable or sleep at night. My neck and shoulder on my left side have pains as well. I called the surgeon who implanted and was told that this is not from the port (???!!!)

Does anyone have any experience with chest ports?

dollfinn33, please call your Lyme doctor ASAP to let him/her know. You do not want to take any chances with these kind of symptoms.
