Has anyone done Claforan shots that can give me some imput on what they thought of them.

I am trying to decide on the shots or to stay with oral meds. One of my problems is that my liver numbers keep going up but i hate to stop treatment.
I was thinking that maybe the shots would give the liver a little rest while i uped my detox for the liver.

Any ideas?
Ang

There is a member on here who started them and her enzymes went way up.............she is having to take a break right now because of it. Everyone reacts differently to medications, and lots of things factor into it........

Up again. Another member posted today about IV Claforan, so hopefully someone can answer both questions.

I have read it is the drug of choice if there is heart involvement. I don't know anything else about it.

Ang,

About to get IV Claforan soon. It is less likely to cause gallbladder issues and my llmd says may be as effective as Rocephin. You have to (at least with IV) dose it every 8 hours...so herx could possibly be more intense.
