Hi everyone,
I finally saw an LLMD last week and guess what? Yep...all signs point to lyme and co.

She has me starting supplements and antibiotics plus following a low glycemic diet.

Here is what I am on:
Ceftin 1000mg daily
Antioxindant tablet 2x day
Mineral tablet 2x day
Acidophilus tablet 2-8 tablets day
Grape seed extract 2x day
Coq10 tablet 2x day

Has anyone had any success on this med regime?

I am still taking Prozac twice daily, Gabapentin twice daily, and lorazepram at bedtime. She wants me to continue with these meds as well until the lyme is under control.

Any feedback would be great. Should I expect to feel even worse after I start the antibiotics? She is thinking that I will need to be on this med regime for a minimum of 3 months.

She is currently testing me for co-infectiosn as well. If anything shows up, she will have to add medications if necessary.

JT

Just remember that co-infection testing isn't accurate either.

Your regimen sounds like a good place to start.

You may feel much worse after starting the antibiotic.

Herx reaction.

Three months isn't enough to erradicate anything.

So, maybe she will be changing your meds in 3 months.

It would take 18 months to hit every cycle of Lyme alone.

That is if it didn't change to cyst form.

So, just a heads up.

Hope you do well.

Hugs,

Geneal

Sounds like a good start. Agree with Geneal that you might feel worse for a short time, maybe a couple of weeks, after starting ceftin. That would be entirely normal.

Ceftin has worked well for many; I have taken it also, at a higher dose. Hope it works well for you.
