Hi LPPT,

Read the western blot info on page 7 of Dr B's paper....

http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

Band 23 is lyme specific...it is outer surface protein C.

Dr B says you should see band 41 and at least one species specific band like you have... band 23.

I guess this wasn't done through Igenex since there are only 3 IgM bands tested for??

LPPT - you are positive for lyme.

I hope you can see a Lyme Literate doctor in your area as soon as possible and get the proper treatment.

If you cannot find a dr. go to the front page of this site and click 'seeking a doctor' for help in finding one.

The longer you wait, the harder lyme is to treat.

Also, be sure to at the very least, get tested for coinfections. The are organisms that travel with the lyme bacteria. Most good doctors also test for additional viruses as well.

Good luck and keep us posted.

PS: I had the same positive bands drawn thru labcorp. I was treated for 8+ months.
