Moving DC and I've been asking around about options for Doctors. Someone mentioned a Dr. Z in Virginia. Any experiences or other information about this doc would be really helpful.
Please respond with a PM if you have any info to share.

I would NOT go by www.ratemeds.com at all. Especially when you are talking about a doctor who is considered lyme literate. You cannot trust anything other say on this website. Talk to REAL people who see the doctor you choose to see.
In fact, as a business owner, I realize MOST people that are apt to complain will broadcast it at a higher rate than those that are happy. It happens on reviews of business, doctors, etc.

I am a businesowner too and agree with your statement but in this case, Dr Z got very good marks with only one or two unhappy customers.
It's rateMDs not rateMEDs. It isn't the answer to all answers, but another good resource.
Another rheumatologist I went to was a complete duck and daggone if the people who wrote about him didn't have the same lame experience with him that I did.
He yelled at me the entire visit because I wanted to treat my RA with a low dose antibiotic which is an accepted treatment instead of an immune suppressor. Seems he yells at other clients too and talks down to them.
For the two doctors I have experience with, the ratings were right on target.

She is an absolutely incredible doctor. Extremely bright, knowledgeable, cares about her patients, doesn't stop researching and learning.
I'll PM you with more details.
