These conditions don't have to be mutually exclusive, do they?
Can lyme cause or trigger MS?
Is what we have developed in our bods lyme induced Fibro?
Or is it just plain old lovely lively lyme??
I don't need or want another disease, but is it possible to have one condition trigger the other?
If I can understand why my body is doing the strange things it does, it is easier for me to cope with.
What do y'all think?

In my opinion FM is Lyme Disease or at least some kind of pathogen causing pain and fatigue.
Lyme can trigger MS type symptoms. I think it is up for debate if MS is actually an autoimmune disorder or a pathogen such as LD.

Yes, lyme can cause/trigger MS-like symptoms or it can cause symptoms such as fibro or CFS (or any number of other things).
Lyme can cause all sorts of alarming symptoms that might seem like we may have another disease and yet it's just the lyme triggering some sort of connection in the body causing us to have worsening or new symptoms that we've never had before.

I think a lot of MS, FM, CFS, Alzheimers, Parkinsons etc.... are actually undiagnosed Lyme Disease.
With those, they do not know what causes them and they are for the time being, grouping of symptoms.
I am in no way making light of those syndromes, rather am mind boggled that to this day, they still do not know what causes any of them. HMMM???
I am also not saying all of them are caused by Lyme, but do believe that is actually what a lot of ppl have.
At least with Lyme we know it's a bacterial Infection casued by Bb.
I was dx'd with FM, CFS and possible MS. That was until I found out I had Lyme. I believe that so many of our symptoms mimic those syndromes and we have therefore many times been misdiagnosed.
Think of all the ppl out there that have been dx'd with these things and may not know they have Lyme.
Also there are many geographical areas that have had huge spikes in dx's of ppl having these syndromes and they happen to be happening were Lyme is epidemic. Makes me wonder.
I guess what I am saying is that I believe a lot of it is "Lovely Lyme"

1 woman i met on another board has been described as having both. hers is so severe she has lost the use of so much. can't walk; lost much vision; can't use her hands so has a talking machine w/pc to do things, etc.
finally it's more MS vs. lyme for her.
