My daughter and I are both on mino right now and live at the jersey shore...we haven't had any noticeable reactions while being in the sun so I'm wondering what others have experienced.

I have not been burned while on minocycline as I did on Doxy -- that was a bad, sun poisoning burn that took weeks to heal.
The only think on mino is that my tan looks a little strange -- kind of orange/brown. I still am trying to stay out of the sun.

Careful. I was on mino for years and even if no immediate reaction to the sun, it will show up in the form of hyperpigmentation.
Stay out of the sun, or at least use 60 SPF sunscreen (Baby Faces).
