Dear Everyone,
I have been wondering about something lately. My chewing gum has been dissolving in my mouth. Could this be caused by Sjogren's Syndrome? There are times where my mouth is so dried out my lips are sticking to my gums. I also get something I call "velcro tongue", where my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.

Sincerely,
Jin

I don't have much insight but saw a program

(probably Mystery Dx) where the patient had dry

mouth, dry eyes (stopped producing tears),

gallbladder removal, dental decay, joint pain,

intestinal issues --

and the final verdict was Sjogren's Syndrome.

The causative agent(s) is unknown for this

autoimmune disorder just like other autoimmune

diseases, but as you know, Lyme seems to spark

different autoimmune reactions with those

infected (RA, Hashimotos/thyroid et al).

Someone else here I'm sure is afflicted.

I'd suggest talking with your doctor about this.
