Deep bone pain on bottom of left heel w/slight swelling. Didn't injure it. Better with arched shoe then barefoot. Past the point of being able to ignore now.
Tailbone pain only when sitting straight on a hard surface. This is new.
Soooooo....treating Bart w/ Levaquin. This doesn't seem a tendon problem. I'll check w/LLMD Tuesday-in the meantime any TLC ideas? Thanks, wantabe

I don't have any advice, but wanted to say that I suffer from the heel pain you describe on my right foot.
I have Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. I suspect Bartonella is causing it in my case.
My sister has the horrible tailbone pain that you describe.

I have heard that these are telltale bartonella signs. So looks like you're on the right track!

Thanks CD and LL- I hoping I don't have to stop the Levaquin. It has helped a lot with the Bart symptoms.
I really don't understand how and why these symptoms can come out of the blue, disappear for a while and BINGO back again or something new takes its place-in another place of your body...
Is it the medications chasing it around? Makes me feel like my body is an amusement park in a horror movie.
We will see what tomorrow brings- night for now, wantabe

Hi Gale,
Yes, I had the Fry smear done and it was "suggestive of Hemobartonella or Mycoplasma".
