I did read about this Snorkle thing in another post for whats it worth. It's not a "Treatment", but it is a way to increase the body temp.

With your head out of the water, your temp shouldn't really go up much as the outside air would keep your core temp normal..

With that said, my normal temp is 96.5-97 and change. I got it up to 100.3 like I said and let me just say that I have been in the biggest Herx I can remember for the last 2 days.

I don't know what temperature is needed to kill these things, but I must have killed some. Again, I am still Herxing.

I did the soak 3 days ago in the evening. Yesterday, I could barely walk last night, had headache, vertigo, stiff neck, nausea, tremors, etc.

Today, was the massive headache I've never had in my life. Again, I was very weak for most of the day, and now, I'm starting to get some strength back. The headache is easing up, as is the stiff neck and tremors.

I'm not out of it yet, but I would think tomorrow would be much better. I will update on this thread tomorrow.

BTW, I'm sitting here now with a body temp of 98.4 which is way off my normal.

I, like all of you am baffled as to how this disease works. It's hard to tell what is a Herx compared to what is an actual disease symptom.

If this is not a Herx, than I have definitely taken many backward steps. Perhaps, I am on to something.

When others say I can't tolerate this or that. Perhaps, this is the time to tolerate what your doing as you might be killing off bacteria. Always be safe and use your head in whatever your doing.

Hi Twister,

I did quite a bit of therapeutic hot-tubbing at 106, almost daily, and noticed a strong reaction.

I never did the full on snorkel and temp taking though. I used hot-tubbing also as one of the few enjoyable available experiences, and kept my head out.

Are you making sure to take lots of water, lemon, salt, and minerals?

I also used powdered MSM in the water to help pull out heavy metals that can release in a good sweat.

Sounds to me like besides killing off bugs, metals may be circulating. Can you go for a glutathione IV? Chlorella is also a very good idea.

Congratulations on getting powerful results. I hope you feel better soon!

Dear lymetwister,
Sorry to hear you are still struggling. Hang in there! Your observations are interesting. This disease is perplexing. Keep up the good work, and we will stay tuned for updates!

Very interesting post. I go to a pool twice weekly for Ai Chi (think T'ai Chi in water). The pool is usually about 95 degrees. I have never even thought about taking my temp when I get out, but what a good idea!

I do know that I often get a headache after, and really sweat sometimes.

I have been in a hot tub a few times and can't stand to stay in for more than 10 minutes - just gets the old peripheral neuropathy hopping!

I hope you are on the way to feeling much better.

Is it common with Lyme to have a temp below 98? I noticed in the last few years my "normal" temp is about 97.

When I feel really bad and feel like I have a fever it goes up to 98-99 which isn't that high compared to how I feel.

I had a bad herx to in the last few days and the only thing new is that I had a cranial sacral massage. I have felt fluish and bad headache since I had it last thur.
