finally got me igenex results and was relieved with the positive results.
still having on and off mild-moderate anxiety and a nervous stomach feeling most of the day.
at least i am eating more.
also, i get nervous before sleep as i am anticipating waking up at 2 am with chills and nausea(previous 8 days before results came)
woke up last night at 1 am and felt fully awake. took a xanax(3rd time in my life as i really am scared of anti-anxiety drugs) and fell back asleep but woke up with the anxiety.
also, it looked like my tongue was white again(cleared up for a couple of days)
on cedax(2nd day today) and diflucan. my doc. is dr. s from nj.
are sleep problems a major part of lyme?
any advice or relating to my symptoms would be a great comfort.
my igenex results were

Yes, yes, yes. Agitation, anxiety, and sleep problems are lyme sypmtoms as well as co-infection symptoms. My very first symptom was sleep problems. I had never had a night of insomnia in my life. Also, I had never had an anxiety attack and I started getting them.

Severe neurological problems. Probably sick for years. Became chronically sick in Aug 2007. Undiagnosed for another 15 months. Started treatment for lyme and bart Sept. 2008. Improving, but very slowly.

Yes these are all typical symptoms of Lyme. The sleep problems and anxiety have resolved for me VERY well with antibiotic treatment. I still have them occasionally, but very rarely and at very low levels. Take hope, you will get better!

The white mouth business is a big symptom of yeast/thrush, so I would address that, as I believe you are, with your doctor. But I would also recommend highly that you start looking at complementary treatments like probiotics (good ones) and herbal teas.

I have a great detox/anti-Lyme tea recipe (which also contains herbs that are anti-yeast/virus/bacteria) I will happily share with you, that also helps anxiety a bit. Also, a brand of tea called Yogi Teas makes a great tea for calming and sleeping, called "Calming Tea".

As for treating the yeast, I would check out the various herbs that are effective for that, and use them as an adjunct. As long as they are not contraindicated with your other meds, they can be VERY effective.

Last but most of all, try to look into some ways of relaxation, like meditative breathing, or medititation.

Also, if you are not taking Tetracycline-class antibiotics, you should try to get at least 10 minutes of full sun each day, on arms and legs or more, if possible, no sunblock, preferably at mid-day. Don't stay out long enough to burn, though.

The Vitamin D and mid-day sun really help to readjust your sleep cycle and help with all sorts of symptoms. NAtural Vitamin D from the sun is a great help in healing.

Anxiety is one of my worst symptoms.

It got better on doxy. Much better.

However, rifampin really helped with it.

My LLMD feels anxiety along with other concurrent symptoms

May be attributed to bartonella.

Hugs,

Geneal

I have the same stomach problems, anxiety and sleep problems. They all go hand in hand.

What I have found that works is taking .5 Klonopin in the morning and remeron at night.

I never needed/wanted to take these kind of meds until I got sick but I find that combination makes me sleep better and the remeron makes you hungry which help with the stomach.
