Hey everyone,

I have avoided alcohol since getting sick or should I say, diagnosed. I wasn't a big drinker but might have a drink every few months socially.

So, we were at a family BBQ yesterday and some kept saying I need to drink at the party to feel better. I argued alcohol lowers immunity and they kept saying that is BS and I would feel better.

Anyway, I still avoid! I know what I know and I know alcohol robs your cells of glutathione!

Then they started to say I should look into medicinal marijuana which they said might help recovery and I would feel better.

Anyway, it wa sa lot of pressure and I hate peer pressure. I thought I was done with peer pressure when I left high school years ago! LOL.

I haven't drank in two years. I also read you should wait 6 months after remission before drinking, but also read it might be good to avoid for life since it lowers immunity.

I developed pancreatitis, so alcohol is completely out for me. I'd rather not get pancreatic cancer.

I can't see how marijuana would help you get better. Yes, it could reduce the pain. And pain does lower the immune system. But I don't think it's a miracle cure.

I just tell people I take enough drugs legally.

Whatever organisms I have are in my nerves. If I drink alcohol, I physically feel like I am about to die along with a bad stinging in my head - total intolerance.

I smoked some weed and I got the same feeling, as if I will die. It was like a panic attack x10.

A year before I could do these things and be perfectly fine. I have since not had a drink in 11 months.
