Hi Gigi,
Since you are the queen of detox, maybe you tell me how you use apple pectin for detoxing? I purchased some capsules online and are expecting them soon.
Do you take at the same time with your meds or at a different time? How many capsules? And how often?
Anything you can share would be appreciated.
Thanks, CherylSuse

It's usually a good idea to take binders away from food on an empty stomach, or as one theory proposes you could take it 1/2 hour before eating then it will be in your small intestines by the time bile is released and they'll be mixed together(the bile holds heavy metals and toxins the liver has just removed). Then another time to take it would be right before going to bed on an empty stomach or you could take it in the middle of the night if you wake up to pee or something anyway. That gives it a chance to move through and coat your gut, then metals present in the blood that passes through the digestive membranes can bind to the binder (pectin, chlorella).

Pryorka explained it beautifully. I like the way Dr. K. describes neurotoxins, all neurotoxins and how they move through the system. I will link my favorite of his writings below. Many of the mobilized toxins are reabsorbed by the many nerve endings lining the intestinal wall and colon, and this in effect is really what is making us ill. Many of the toxins never leave unless we do something, a lot of something about it.
The body is doing its detox work when we are supposed to be asleep and are not busy with other activities. Most gallbladder attacks happen late in the evening, and if you tend to wake up in the middle of the night, your liver is probably in overdrive trying its best to dispose of some of the toxins. Take a look at the biological clock linked below.
The effect of the apple pectin is noticable in that after you evacuate, there is hardly any need for toilet paper. The film of the pectin seems to wrap around the stool and things just sort of slide out leaving little or no residue to wipe. I visualize the same thing happening further up the tract not leaving much for the leaky gut to do its thing.
After doing AI, I noticed that many are allergic to corn (DNA level), and the loose pectin is often mixed with corn. So make sure you are not allergic (without any obvious noticable symptoms) to corn. I buy the Life Extension in 8 oz containers and use them in everything from fruit mousses to the fanciest deserts. But regularly for sure in an apple I grind in a 3 cup Black & Decker blender (I use this thing at least 3 times a day - from chopping apples to chopping onions to chopping potatoes for potato pancakes!). I add a couple teaspoons of the apple pectin to it. You can put in some green juince to make the grinding quicker and add the pectin.
All the other binders I used to take before going to bed: Apple Pectin, Zeolite, Chitosan, Charcoal, Clay, Cholestyramine, Betasitosterol, Glycine, whatever tests good with tensor.
My definite favorite has become Biologo Detox (only available in Austria), because it covers all levels of detox including emotional. Since my husband has been taking the AI drops, he tests for Biologo Detox literally every day; not the first 3-4 rounds, but now that we are on round #7. The fur is really flying! since the allergies are being corrected.
The after-care following mobilizing and killing agents is for certain the most neglected part of detoxing, and any time you do not feel good after a procedure or a couple hours later, test your binding agents because you can really help yourself to feel better very quickly. I keep mine in a separate basket (from nutritional support supplements or killing agents and metal and chemical mobilizers) and in one two three I know which is the dominant toxin ready to leave. It's nice to have at least an idea what is going on in the body. But to do that on our own, without a practitioner, we learned tensor testing.
Cheryl, I don't use capsules because I do not want to swallow capsules any longer. A teaspoon or two mixed into some good food is so much easier. And a lot less money. I also put the pectin in shakes of all sorts! Along with the Galactose, BetaGlucan, and Show me the Whey and other protein drinks.
I will post the links later - have to run to get to our grandson's birthday dinner now!
Take care.

I read Dr. K's thing Gigi posted. He mentions that scars can block detox in certain areas, but he doesn't say what can to be done about that. Does anyone know if anything is recommended to help detox areas around scarring? I was thinking thing like serrapeptase are suppose to dissolve scars but not sure if that'd work. What have people heard from our doctors?

There are other expressions of chronobiology in Chinese medicine that are easier to understand and apply, such as the twenty-four-hour clock. This clock which records the movement of qi through the twelve channels and associated zang/fu viscera and bowels over a twenty-four-hour period.
Acupuncturists particularly have developed calendars to choose points that are most active at these times, or which channels or visceral systems are optimal to treat. For example, the lung channel is most abundant in qi at 3 a.m. to 5 a.m., and most depleted at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
According to this theory, lung diseases will tend to worsen in the late afternoon. Dr. Yoshio Manaka's text, ``Chasing the Dragon's Tail,'' has comprehensive charts and treatment strategies based on this clock.

Pryorka, for treatment of scars, etc., reestablihsing the electrical circuits, look up Dr. K.'s writings on Neural Therapy. I had hundreds of them, by him, over the years. He treats all scars, even vaccination scars and umbilical scars, dental scars, etc.
Rubbing on wheat germ oil helps with some small ones, but not the more serious ones.
Take care.

Gigi,
I've been using cholestyramine for quite a while and I thought it had to be taken about 45 minutes or so before food that contained a little fat to make it work.
I have used other things like charcoal or clay before bed because I didn't think it needed anything like food to activate it.
Your thoughts? I've read lots of Dr. K's writings and one of my closest friends is a patient of his, but I won't be seeing her until next week to ask her - I know she's taking Chitosan.
Take care, Jill

Thanks for your replies. I feel the worst at night when I wake up after 3 or 5 houts, and the worst in the morning. All those toxins circulating. I'll have to figure when I take the pectin, though.
At night before I go to bed, I take 1 Epicor, 1 Olive Leaf, and one .6 Melatonin. I don't want the pectin to interfere with these.

I was looking for some organic apple pectin and saw this. Just a note that the LEF pectin is not organic. I called them and they could not find any info on the product but said they would e-mail me back when they do get it.
Gigi, have you already investigated this product?
I found organic capsules but not the powder so far

Marsy,
You can order pectin powder from Amazon. I buy the EcoNugenics Pectasol-C. Be careful not to confused regular, plain powder with the chelation formulas.

I was looking for organic apple pectin, this is a modified in the lab nutraceutical from citrus pectin. Although it does look interesting I just wanted some simple organic apple pectin powder.
Wow, by the way $100 expensive stuff. Are you gettng good results with this?

MarsyNY,
If you find simple organic pectin powder for the price of the one I named, or less, ($85.67) please, let me know. I couldn't find it anywhere.
Don't really know what the result(s) yet, too early.

MarsyNY,
No, I have not investigated whether it is organic or not. I do not really take this "organic" thing much to heart. Apples or for that matter fruits and vegetables cannot be grown in a bubble and if it rains, or a wind blows, organic is no longer organic.
We have had great results by taking the apple pectin, usually in foods as I described in an earlier post on this thread. I do not look at it as a medicine. We eat an "apple a day" and into this grated apple (with skin on) goes the pectin, because the apple skin alone does not deliver enough pectin for our purpose. I have been doing this for many years. We can see the results when we go to the bathroom! because things slide like jelly. I usually do this in the morning.
Pectin has been used in jelly-making for the same reason - things stick together! and the toxins do not have much of a chance to get hung up in the colon.
As far as timing of any of the binders, I have been taught by Dr. K. that the binders should be in the small intestine before the breakfast-lunch-dinner comes downward. This means about 30 minutes before eating. I am not aware of the need to activate any binders.
CherylSue, we do make it a point to not use any killing or detox agents before bedtime because I do not want to overload the body. The body is already super busy with working the mobilized stuff (mobilized during the day with medicines, etc.) through the system. If I were to wake up in the middle of the night or feel like run over by a truck, the toxic load was tooooo much.
Detoxing should be gentle - I know that it took us years to accumulate all of it and so it will take several years to get rid of it. Detoxing is not done in a month or two. It takes years and detoxing is for life because we are constantly exposed to more.
Take care.

MarsyNY,
Since I must take a diuretic for severe hypertension, I replace the lost K+ with making banana pudding with the pectin powder; 2 birds with one stone. Sometimes I add a touch of apple juice to make it a bit more mushy & pudding consistency. A dash of cinnamon... Yum!

Gigi,
Now I'm confused - and this has been why I've been confused by what my various LLMDs and naturopaths tell me. Some say the binders must be taken about 30-45 minutes before meals (like you say), but others say you can take some before bed (like you also mentioned) on an empty stomach and then it won't pull out your medications and supplements as it pulls out the toxins.
Hoping that the before-the-bed binders are able to work properly because I'm not eating 30 minutes later. That's where I'm confused.
Jill

MarsyNY and Others,
The Life Extension Apple Pectin that GiGi uses looks to be a really nice product. I'm retuning my unopened jar of EcoNugenics and ordering Life Extension. Big savings and has the apple pectin content that I want.

hey ping i think the econugenics product you may have is actually pectasol which is different from the pectin. It actually absorbs into your bloodstream whereas the pectin doesn't. So you may want to use both. The pectin is definitely cheaper since it doesn't require the processing to make it into pectasol.

pryorka,
Right. I want to use strictly the apple pectin; no need for both. My bloodstream is not the target for me where AIT is concerned; target is to eliminate as quickly as possible. The expense is also a major part of the decision. Thanks for the info.

Ping, if you are allergic to corn as your first test results would tell you, wait until after the first bottle before using the pectin -- if it contains some corn. Last time I looked at mine, it had some corn in it. I was not allergic to any of the major foods, so it didn't matter. But my husband was allergic to corn, and since he was starting the drops, the corn allergy was corrected with the first drops. So I was not concerned. It just depends how much of a problem corn is -
Don't know if you noticed in one of my earlier posts above where I mentioned the corn in the pectin!
Take care.

Certain pectins contain corn as a filler -whether in capsule or in powder by the pound.
Often the amount is so small that the law does not require it to be mentioned as ingredient.
The frequencies of corn are found in many prepared and packaged foods. As is soy. Watch the movie King Corn and hear about the gasoline that contains corn frequencies. If someone can no longer regulate the frequencies (energetically, which is the first contact), they are allergic.
Some people faint with an allergic substance 3 feet away from them.
Look out for fructose - made from corn.
The majority of people of today are allergic to corn, wheat and soy. Check with the people doing the AI therapy who have done the test.
And genetically engineered corn is even worse!
Take care.

It says to take three capsules with food. I normally take three capsules twice a day. Three mid day, and three before bedtime.
I can't take with food, because I need to take antibiotics with food. I'd be eating ten times a day.
