well, I got the diagnosis on JUN 22. Been on
Doxy200mgx2 daily. Since then I have gone
downhill. I feel like throwing up half the day.
Some days I'm better than others. I get a strange
blank feeling in my head at times. I seem to just
stare not really caring what's going on around
me. The pain is under control and sleep with
meds. I still haven't got myself to come to the
reality that I actually have Lyme. I know that
sounds strange. If not better at the end of my 1
month Doxy reg I probably will go to a LLMD. I
never realized how bad this was for people who
had this disease and I'm sure many have it a lot
worse. This is already getting old. I can't even
imagine having chronic Lyme.

Sorry you're having a hard time. Not to sound negative but you should go ahead and book an appointment with an LLMD. If not treated properly now you won't have to imagine having chronic Lyme, you WILL have chronic Lyme.
How long were you sick before starting treatment?

Sorry you're having such a rough time.
Doxy is not kind to the stomach, unfortunately.
I know the instructions say to take it on an empty stomach, but I don't know anyone personally who does.
If you haven't, try taking it with a little food. Just make sure it's not dairy or foods high in calcium.
And I agree with lymielauren--start looking now for an LLMD.
An LLMD will not only assess your Lyme situation, but also test for coinfections, which almost always go with Lyme.
Go over to Seeking a Doctor and post your info and location.
